Sunday - walked around a sleeping Belfast after landing. Nice drive to Donegal in the evening. Nice to 'come home' to our own cottage.
Monday - Climbed Benbulbin via Pinnacle Gully. Very, very, very steep. Beautiful. Great hike.
Tuesday - Donegal Castle and Abbey, then Inishowen Pinninsula all the way to Malin Head.
Wednesday - North Antrim coast, Giant's Causeway, Bushmills distillery, Dunseverick Castle, Carick-a-reed rope bridge, Sperrin Mountains.
Thursday -Slieve League via pilgrims pass. Back via one man's pass to Bunglass cliffs.
Friday - Dublin walking tour. Trinity College,, pubs and listen to everyone talk about U2.
Saturday - Sligo Abbey, Yeat's grave,Carrowmore, Parke's Castle, pitch and putt and the driving range.
One week was not even close to enough. Hikes were fantastic. Light until close to midnight. Great cottage and great suggestions. Thanks Michael and Maria.

This was, without doubt, the most carefully prepared, well organized, beautifully equipped house that we, as a family, have ever stayed in. Michael and Maria had gone to endless trouble to make sure everything was just right, down to the last detail.
There were 6 of us for a week and everyone agreed that the house and surroundings and places to visit were more that we could have expected. Everything in the house worked well and we knew that if there was a problem it would have been sorted immediately - which gave us a feeling of confidence during our holiday. We would recommend Michael and Maria to anyone and hope to return one day. Please thank your family for being so welcoming.

Michael and Maria, Thanks for making our honeymoon special. The cottage was brilliant. We enjoyed the 'Drowes Tavern', The 'Imperial' had spectacular steak dinner. Sligo was excellent shopping and the Parkes Castle was incredible. We can't wait to come back to visit you both! ps. Greg did get some surf -yeah! Take Care.

Good accommodation; great watching the salmon jump! Great food at "The Loft" in Ballyshannon and "Dom Breslin's" in Donegal town. Both places had smaller portions for those of us who don't like huge platefuls. Seaweed baths and relaxarium a must!!

We had a great time here. Mullgahmore and Slieve League are must sees. Bundoran strand is a lovely place to spend the better part of a sunny day. We enjoyed watching the fish jump around in the water from the bridge. The sunset is also nice to watch. Thans for everything.

1 week - too short! Lots to do. Thanks Michael, Maria and family for your hospitality. The seaweed baths was a real treat. Duff river waterfall, Waterworld, bowling, fishing, golf, Marble Arch Caves, Enniskillen worth visiting. Inismurray Island. Letterkenny for shopping. Mullaghmore harbour view. Slieve league cliffs. Killibegs, I liked a lot. We will be back and will recommend to others. Beautiful cottage.

We had the best time ever! I recommend: Waterworld; Bundoran cliff walk; Sea fishing from Bundoran quay and, for eating: The Dragon Inn Chinese Restaurant. My favourite of all was the sea fishing. Everyone can do it. I caught 3! Thanks to Ian for all his help and advice. We had lovely weather. I hope you have it too! Hannah.

Hi Michael, Maria & Family Just a short note to thank you very much indeed for a great holiday during July. The house was to a standard we have never come across before, it is so obvious that you all work very hard to keep things looking as well as they do. We all really had a great time; in fact Andrew (age 11) said it was his best holiday yet. (And believe me that is some compliment!) The surrounding area is so beautiful with loads to do, we really enjoyed Mullaghmore beach, the horse riding, the fun fair and of course playing in the rock pools. There were also so many great places to eat out at, our favourites being the Salmon Inn and upstairs in the Bridge Bar. Your hospitality was fantastic, you always seemed to have time for a chat, and we really felt part of your extended family while we were there. All in all it made for a great time and if you’re ever in our neck of the woods please feel free to give us a call. Take care. The Harris Family

Beautiful cottage with everything in it. The Horse-shoe drive was just gorgeous as was the drive around Mullaghmore. Thanks for a great home!

So much to do and so little time. Fishing was great and the facilities were superb and the cottage and hospitality were excellent. Beaches were immaculate. Our favourite things were: Island view and Homefield pony trekking, Go-Karts, Parkes Castle, the Fair, Cinema, Waterwheel, Waterfall, Smuggler's Creek, Shrimping in the rock-pools, Fishing (Pollack and Mackerel), Creevy Pier (swimming), Mullaghmore and Streedagh beaches, Gillighan's World, Fairy Bridges, Thank you for a great holiday Ian.

Jim B. Cregan, County Derry, N. Ireland, Dec/Jan 2002
Easily the best place I've ever stayed in Ireland, lots of websites claim to supply everything you need for your holiday, but this is the first I've found that actually delivered! The house is tastefully decorated and everything is of the quality you would want in your own home. Thanks Michael and Maria, we had a magical Christmas and no small part of it was down to yourselves and the standard of Fishery Cottages accomodation!

Robert and Leah Scott, Indianstown, Florida, USA 29/6/02
