Fishery
Cottages, County Donegal: A very special location for your self-catering holiday
in Ireland
'Fishery Cottages' sit at the most southerly
point of Donegal. Surrounded by water, this unique location was chosen
as a strategic defence position by ancient clans but is now a spectacular
holiday location.
The seaside town of Bundoran, with holiday attractions
such as 'Waterworld' and the new sea-weed baths,
golf, ten-pin bowling, restaurants and bars,
charter-boat fishing etc. is only 1 kilometre away.
The blue-flag beaches of Mullaghmore, Bundoran,
and Rossnowlagh are nearby. Sligo and Donegal towns are
both within a 30-minute drive.
'Yeats'Country', ancient Irish archaelogical
sites and Donegal Castle are all only a short distance away.
The area offers sailing, diving, coarse
fishing and horse riding facilities. Salmon swim within
metres of the houses, on their way to their traditional spawning grounds.
Walk, fish from the garden, play golf
on your choice of 3 courses, surf the Atlantic swells, go
horse riding, or be content to relax, watch the dolphins
in the surf and enjoy your vacation in Ireland.
